Facebook Ads Alternatives Part One: Quora Ads

Quora ads make a great alternative or at the very least a supplement to Facebook ads and can play an important part of an overall effective marketing strategy for your business.

I’m Debra and here to have a conversation with you about Facebook ads alternatives. When you think of paid digital campaigns, you think of the big players, right? Like Facebook ads or Google. And by all means, they’re definitely robust platforms and I’m happy to do Facebook ads or Google Ads campaigns for my clients if it makes sense for their business.

However, there are a number of alternatives that might be more affordable or less known, so you have less competition. Let’s begin today with Quora ads. Many of you might be like, Well, Debra, what is Quora? Quora is a question and answer forum. It acts like a social media platform, but it’s really a search engine.

People go to Quora because they’re in research mode. They have a question, they want to learn something. They’re trying to find something out. They have a question, they’re trying to get an answer. They have a problem. They’re looking for solutions.

People who are experts or know something about something, they’ll post answers to questions on Quora. It’s just a great question and answer forum. It’s fun to be there on both ends. If you’re knowledgeable about something, it’s nice to be on there and establish your authority about a topic and answer people’s questions on the subject you know something about.

If you have a question about something, and you go there and, and you read the answers and can get some feedback from other people.

Where does that fit in with an advertising campaigns?

There are three different steps in the customer journey. First, there’s the step where a person isn’t even aware that they have a, a problem or a desire for something. T

The next step is when people are aware of a problem and they’re researching it. They are looking for solutions and options. They need or want a product or service.

Finally, there is the time when a person is ready to pull the trigger- commit, make the purchase.

I would say Quora most likely is attracting a prospect when they are in the research mode which is not a bad place for your branding, your product, or service to be.

Quora has a wonderful and really easy ad platform for people who are new to it. It’s not overly complicated. In many cases it’s less expensive than Google and Facebook ads.

I’m super excited about Quora because I’ve talked to many people about this, and a lot of people just don’t even first of all know what Quora is, and then they don’t even realize you can actually advertise on Quora.

I’m more and more using Quora ads for some of my clients and getting very good results. At the very least, even if it doesn’t replace Facebook ads or Google Ads, Quora could be part of an overall marketing strategy for us. I think Quora Ads has a place to be a really excellent supplement and in some cases be the main ad campaign platform for your marketing strategy.
